“Phil & Dave’s Excellent CD” is the first of a continuing series of Developer-oriented compact discs (“Developer Helper”) which we are producing to help address the accessibility and organization of the tomes of information available to the development community. This first CD-ROM, “Phil & Dave,” is designed for the technical community, and it contains over 200 megabytes of docmentation and tools which you have told us you need during the development process, as well as about 30 minutes of audio tracks for your listening pleasure. “Phil & Dave” contains both an HFS partition for use on a Macintosh and a ProDOS partition for use on an Apple II under either GS/OS or ProDOS.
To use the “Phil & Dave’s Excellent CD” navigation stack on the HFS partition, you need a copy of HyperCard 1.2 or later (refer to the CD-ROM insert which came with “Phil & Dave” for instructions on installing HyperCard directly from the CD-ROM). If you already have HyperCard 1.2 installed, just double-click on the icon labeled “Phil & Dave’s Excellent CD” for a taste of what we’d like to do for you in the future. (Be sure to check out our new Q & A stack and the updated Technical Notes stack, as we’ve now linked them to work together to provide a more useful tool to help you in your development.
